Itinerary
DAY 1
Naples – Amalfi
Arrival day
Your driver will meet you at either Naples airpor t or train station on your arrival. Depart for the divine Amalfi Coast. Arrive in Amalfi, check-in at hotel. Welcome meeting and cocktail with Avanti Italy representative for an overview of your itinerary. Free afternoon to relax and discover Amalfi. Dinner at the Hotel restaurant. (D)
DAY 2
Amalfi
Pompeii & wines of Tramonti
Half day private guided tour of Pompeii. You will meet your English-speaking guide at reception after breakfast and depart for Pompeii. Upon arrival at Pompeii you will have a 2 hour tour of the famous ruins. Return to the Amalfi Coast and stop for a small group wine tasting in Tramonti, at the Osteria Reale wine cellars located on an 18th century vineyard.
Afterwards enjoy a farmer’s lunch with the owners overlooking the vineyards. Afternoon stop at Minori for a visit of a small liqueur factory where you will assist in the limoncello making and tasting.
Transfer back to Hotel. Evening at own leisure. (B, L)
DAY 3
Amalfi
Rest
Relaxation and Pampering Free day to explore Amalfi, it’s historical centre, the Cathedral and the old back streets and alleyways. Walk up to the Valley of the Mills where you can visit the ancient handmade paper-mill. Return to the Hotel in the afternoon and indulge in a private turkish bath. Evening at own leisure. (B)
DAY 4
Amalfi – Capri – Amalfi
Full day private yacht excursion to Capri
Your English-speaking and local expert captain will glide past the villages of Amalfi, Positano, Praiano, Ravello, Atrani, Maiori, Minori, Pandora’s Grotto, the Emerald Grotto, Santa Croce beach, past the Li Galli Islands towards the Isle of Capri. Once at Capri you will visit the Faraglioni rock formations, and the stunning white, blue* and green grottoes. Your captain will then disembark in Capri for lunch (not included) and have time to explore Capri’s history, architecture, food and lux shopping before returning back to Amalfi. Evening at own leisure. (B)
DAY 5
Amalfi
Free Day
After a long lazy breakfast, why not take a local ferry to stunning Positano, or perhaps take a local bus to beautiful Ravello, or stroll to close by tiny jewel town of Atrani. In the evening, private transfer from the hotel to Maiori to the Michelin star restaurant, Il Faro di Capodorso overlooking the sea. Return transfer to Hotel after dinner. (B, D)
DAY 6
Amalfi
Cooking in Ravello
After breakfast, private car transfer to Ravello where you will participate in a private cooking class at Nonna Orsola cooking school. Enjoy and learn the secrets of good Italian cooking and the principals that make unique the Mediterranean cuisine. After the class, enjoy your meal with local wines all is an idyllic location overlooking Ravello countryside.
Return by private car to Amalfi. (B, L)
DAY 7
Amalfi
Free Day
Free day to enjoy the Coastal towns, relax by one of the local beaches, or take up an optional extra tour. Evening at own leisure. (B)
DAY 8
Amalfi – Naples
Departure
After breakfast at your hotel, departure by private transfer to Naples. (B)
