Festa time on the Amalfi Coast!

Italians love to celebrate and on the Amalfi Coast summer means festa time! Planning a trip to the Amalfi Coast around one of the many festivals can add a very special experience to your time here.

St Maddalena (2)

Each town along the Coast celebrates it’s Patron Saint day, and festivities include; church service, procession with the statue of the Saint, big brass band entertainment in the town piazza and streets plus spectacular fireworks displays to end the celebrations.  No matter what religion you are, these festivals are something not to be missed, not only are they fun but it is an important tradition for the local people.

We all know Italian LOVE their food….so much so that on the Amalfi Coast they celebrate local produce with a festa dedicated to show off the best foods of the region.  These food festivals have menus built around the food the locals are celebrating and have a great atmosphere with local entertainment in the piazza for people to enjoy whilst savouring their amazing food.
